How to Make Nontoxic Watercolor Paint





  • You’ll need:
  • ·         1 cup baking soda
  • ·         ¾ cup white vinegar
  • ·         2 table spoon Light Corn Syrup  (also known as Karo syrup )  
  • ·         1cup cornstarch  (known as corn flour in the UK)
  • ·         Food colouring  (gels produce a more intense colour than liquid food colouring)
  • ·         Mini Muffin Tin  (or ice cube tray)
  •  
  • What you’ll do:
  • 1.          Pour 1 cup of baking soda into the mixing bowl
  • 2.         Add ¾ white vinegar, pour it little by little (if you add it all at once it will bubble over)
  • 3.         Once the mixture stop bubbling, use whisk to mix it
  • 4.         Add 2 table spoon of light corn syrup
  • 5.         Add 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 6.         Next, whisk the entire mixture
  • 7.         Then using pour sprout, pour the mixture compartments of an ice cube tray
  • 8.         Add food coloring using popsicle stick, to mix a different color of food coloring into each tray.
  • 9.         Once your watercolor mixed, let them dry for 1-2 days.
  • 10.       Once your water colors have dried, they are zready to use!
